Grade 2-5 teachers,

Here is a site posted to me by Philip. www.tikatok.com where the students can create their digital stories and publish them. Spread the word and make sure the teachers in your departments have a go with it. Birgul Bayraktar
Hi everyone,

As Philip has already posted on TVO wiki, here is a great opportunity to take online courses provided by EVO. Please read the following:
Dear all,

The EVO Coordination team is very pleased to announce the Call for
Participation for the EVO 2009 sessions. Thanks for all the work you
have put into your sessions. 19 of the 21 proposals accepted have
completed the required work to be offered.

Please help us to distribute the EVO 2009 Call for participation to
your favorite lists and to colleagues who might be interested.

Pease, use the following message:

The CALL Interest Section of the international TESOL
professional association is pleased to offer the
opportunity to participate in the Electronic Village
Online (EVO) 2009 sessions. This is a professional
development project and virtual extension of the TESOL
2009 Convention in Denver, CO . The intended audience
for this project includes both TESOL 2009 participants
and those who can participate only virtually.

You do not need to be a TESOL member to participate in
a free, six-week, wholly online session of the EVO,
Jan 12 -Feb 22, 2009. Please visit our Announcement
Web page to select one among the various offerings.

Hello Techies,

As the time goes by, I would like to bring your attention to some of the websites that I came across during my e-assessment course
on EVO-Tesol nearly two years back now. French and German teachers may find them easy to use as they require only basic knowledge of English. Here we go:
www.letterpop.com To create class magazines.
www.quizlet.com To create quizzes
www.easytestmaker.com
www.surveymonkey.com To create surveys. First take a look at the sample.

Please note that deadline for forming groups is by November 7, 2008. The spokesperson from each group may put the list of members here. Each group is to come up with a rough plan by November 28. The 3 minute -presentation to Philip Franklin and the department heads is on December 24. The poster/pp presentation to the whole FL is on January 21, 2009.

Remember to use the discussion boards in order to form groups as everyone may simply get inspired by your invaluable ideas and projects.

TVO Tech proudly presents the first group and the very first task:

We are going to be researching the intersection of Bloom's Taxonomy and technology in the 21st century. We will do this by giving examples from our own experiences and from our thorough research of other teachers' experiences from around the world. We will also be looking into academic research on this topic.
